Mark's Bessler Topcon Auto 100 Page

Another weird camera from 1964 to 1973. Made by Topcon, marketed by Beseler (an enlarger manufacturer). Blade shutter in the "UV lens mount", 53mm lens, 1/500th max shutter speed. Probably a nightmare to fix. This one is running in slow motion. Needs lubrication at least. Amazed it still works at all. It still looks good. Bought from a Goodwill online auction for $7.00. This is the first "auto exposure" camera marketed, using shutter priority. You set the shutter speed, it sets the aperture. You can run manually also. The finder shows a match needle and aperture setting. Also came in all black, which is always preferable to me.
